Admission Procedure

UNDER GRADUATION: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

  • Admissions to the first year BDS course shall be made within the sanctioned intake.
  • All students seeking admisison to the BDS Course shall also appear in the National Entrance Eligibility cum Entrance Test conducted by the CBSE in the relevant year of admission and obtain requitsite percentile as notified by the Dental Council of India. The application form for NEET shall be made available in the CBSE web portal expected in the month of the calendar year. Students are advised to check the web portal of CBSE for details.
  • Application form for admission to he BDS Course can be downloaded from the college website, www. srgcds.ac.in or www.rgcgroup.org. It can also be obtained from the college office after notifying the same. The eligible candidates shall be considered for admission based on merit as per the entrance test and allotment by the competent authorities of the college. The candidates are required to visit the KEA website for more details and to apply for admission.
  • 20 % of the seats are considered for admission shared to the NRI/Foreign category students and Others quota eligible as per the merit in the NEET.
  • The student shall submit all the testimonials along with the application form within the last date notified by the college.
  • The selection and counseling for admission will be made as per the merit list of the entrance test, via NEET.
  • All candidates seeking admission shall register their name, online in the  KEA website. The candidate shall check the KEA website frequently for updates and details regarding admission criteria.  
  • The selected candidates shall pay the fees as fixed by the college.
  • Any student neither reported to the college nor paid the fee as prescribed by the college within the last date specified, the admission will be treated as cancelled and the next merited candidate will be considered in the said vacancy.

The admission procedure will be completed as per the schedule prescribed by the Dental Council of India and the University.

POST GRADUATION : Master of Dental Surgery (MDS)

  • Admissions to the first year MDS course shall be made within the sanctioned intake.
  • All the admissions will be considered based on the NEET - PG result of the relevant year as per the merit determined based on the percentile score as notified by the Dental Council of India.
  • Eligible candidates shall be considered for admission based on merit as per the NEET-MDS entrance test and uniform allotment by Karnataka Examiantion Authority (KEA).
  • The candidates seeking admission to MDS course shall register with the KEA and details are provided in KEA website. Please visit the  KEA website frequently for updates and information regarding admission.
  • The details and information of NEET-MDS (PG) is provided by the National Board of Examinations in its website: www.nbe.edu.in 
  • There shall be uniform counselling for all the candidates registered for admission with the Karnataka Examiantion Authority as per the merit list of NEET-MDS. The selected cadidates by teh KEA shall report to the college within the time presribed in the allotment/admission order and submit all the original documents and pay the college fees.
  • Maximum 15% of the seats are considered for admission to the NRI/Foreign category students and 10% seats are reserved for other management seats as provided in the consensual agreement by the State Government. All admissions are considered on the basis of the merit list in the NEET-MDS of the relevant year.
  • The student shall submit all the testimonials along with the application form within the last date notified by the college.
  • The admission to the foreign national students shall be subject to the prior approval of the Dental Council of India and also No Objection Certifi cate to be issued by the Ministry of External / Home Affairs and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of India, with a valid student visa during the course period. They shall also obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University and shall have provisional registration by the Karnataka State Dental Council.
  • The selected candidates shall pay the fees as fixed by the college.
